Expanded Polypropylene (EPP)

Expanded polypropylene (EPP) is a versatile closed-cell bead foam that provides a unique range of properties. This includes but is not limited to an outstanding energy absorption, multiple impacts resistance, thermal insulation, flexibility, water and chemical resistance, as well as exceptionally high strength.

In addition to it’s vast range of unique properties, EPP can be molded into different shapes and turns as required. It is robust and reliable for sensitive products that needs extra care. EPP is being used in many different industries for its additional supporting parts, which includes the automotive and electronics industry.

It’s high-strength and lightweight property is advantageous for application in the automative industry. EPP has been used to solve complex designs, applications and manufacturing problems in the automotive industry. It’s currently used as bumpers, door panels, headrests, toolboxes, insulation, and many other accessories.

Automotive

The construction of electric vehicles places new demands on vehicle insulation. Particle foam can also make a contribution here: in energy management through its excellent thermal insulation values, as well as its good sound absorption capacity. In addition to the use of particle foam as the core of composite materials, the material is also increasingly used in the visible area. Attractive surfaces through laser textures and colours play an important role here.
