Geotextile

Geotextile is a porous synthetic sheet that has high permeability and flexibility, typically used for soil stabilization in civil engineering projects. Geotextile can be classified into two types: woven geotextile and non-woven geotextile. The difference lies in the composition of the materials. Woven geotextile is made of polypropylene (PP) or polyester (PET), while non-woven geotextile is composed of randomly arranged fibers that are mechanically, thermally, or chemically bonded together through processes such as needle punching, bonding, and interlocking.Geotextile is a porous synthetic sheet that has high permeability and flexibility, typically used for soil stabilization in civil

Woven Geotextile

Advantages of woven geotextile include:

  1. High tensile strength
  2. Cost-effective and environmentally friendly
  3. Easy and quick installation
  4. Long-term durability
  5. Cost-saving in construction
  6. Prevents rutting and wheel tracks: Geotextile helps prevent the formation of ruts and wheel tracks on roads and pathways by distributing loads and providing
    support.
  7. Increases soil bearing capacity: Geotextile improves the load-bearing capacity of the soil, making it suitable for a wider range of construction applications.
  8. Resistance to UV radiation, chemicals, and microorganisms.

Non-woven Geotextile

Advantages of Non-woven Geotextile:

  1. Cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
  2. High puncture and tear resistance: Virofelt exhibits excellent puncture resistance and tear resistance, ensuring its durability and ability to withstand external forces.
  3. Local product: Virofelt is a locally produced geotextile, which can contribute to supporting local industries and reducing transportation costs.
  4. Superior mechanical and hydraulic properties.
  5. Easy and fast installation.
  6. Excellent stabilization of soft soil.
  7. Effective separation between soft soil and fill material.
  8. Maintains planned concrete quality
  9. Effective drainage system.
